Praying Mantis egg sacks...

complete with newly hatched babies!!!



Praying Mantis...

We love your interest in our beneficial insect program!

This is a Praying Mantis egg sack...

it resembles a wasp nest...doesn't it?

Harvested sacks should be stored in the refrigerator until spring when the danger of frost has passed.

Place the sacks above ground in the landscape

to protect the babies from predators.

Oh...and yes...Ladybugs and Praying Mantis play very well together!!!!



Preventative Maintenance....

No chemicals for the precious plants in our greenhouse!!

We use beneficial insects to take care of any bad guys that might be lurking!!

We released 9000 of these lovely ladies today!

Spring In January???

With weather like this...you would think these blooms were freshly picked from the garden but it's January 5th...on the Nebraska prairie.  It's so fun to design with our beautifully preserved blooms with thoughts of the seasons ahead!!  Hope you all enjoyed this amazing gift of today!!!
