Something to Warm Your Spirit...

Brrrrr! A summer sight from the flower farm to warm your spirits this morning! Hope you enjoy it!

Ken suggested indoor projects for me today...so I'm busy getting all my fermenting recipes gathered into a collection to share with you in our 2015 'Lacto Fermenting 101' classes. I've perfected my fermented Ketchup recipe...

so tomato juice from the garden is simmering into paste on the stove for another batch of probiotic-filled goodness. The kitchen smells like summer! Aromatherapy at it's best!

A Look Back...

2014 was an eventful year on the flower farm.

Just as we were catching our breath from a bitterly cold winter and beginning spring preparations...a natural gas line explosion left everyone in our area shaken but thankfully not hurt.

Storm clouds repeatedly gathered over eastern Nebraska...

and left us plenty of damage to repair...

but our thoughts and prayers are with others who lost so much more.

Our garden angel must have asked her friends to spread their wings over our gardens to protect them.

Despite the wind and hail, we were blessed (and extra grateful) for beautiful blooms that everyone enjoyed!

Thank you for all your love and support in 2014! We are excited and have many surprises to share with you in this new (and hopefully less-eventful) year!
