Merry Christmas!

'Twas the season of Christmas
and all through our house
the excitement was building,
there was simply no doubt!
The first flakes were flying,
we were going for a ride!
A visit with Santa
was to be Riley's surprise!
She sat on his lap
containing her joy
til she just couldn't stand it
and then...oh, boy!
Her big fuzzy paws
went up around his neck!
This much Christmas love
Santa did not expect.
From his chair he went flying
while losing his hat!
Kisses from Riley...
what could be better than that!

Merry Christmas to all of you from the Flower Farm! We are excited for the next growing season and have been busy planting, designing and creating lots of new treasures! Our little flower child, Riley Jo will be 10 months old on Christmas Day. She keeps us entertained and laughing! Thank you for your continued love and support! May your home be filled with as much Christmas love as ours! God Bless!

Ken, Sue and Riley, too!

A Rare Bloom...

Our Indonesian Lily is blooming. Although beautiful...we are somewhat grateful to only see the occasional bloom from this plant. The bloom has an odor of rotting flesh to attract the flies that pollinate it. The common name of 'Corpse Flower' is quite fitting! This is one time I am grateful I cannot share the scent of a bloom with you!

Dreaming of Spring!

What happens on the Flower Farm when it's a bright, sunny day and there's a winter storm looming in the forecast? You spend the day in the greenhouse sowing seeds, taking cuttings and planting hanging baskets! Then you console yourself by harvesting this beautiful Pak Choi...

and other fresh goodies from the greenhouse veggie garden for dinner.

Spring is coming...we just have to get through a few more snowflakes first!
